The campaign followed the adventures of members of the Hauldt branch of the Knights Mercantile on an espionage charter to investigate and eliminate Jacob Parr, the leader of a local gang known as the Freebooters. Upon learning the true identity of their employer (a Skinchanger named Adolphos Knecht who had infiltrated the Knights Mercantile), the party betrayed and attempted to kill Knecht and the other Skinchangers, and were ultimately all killed in the attempt.
